IoT & Health – Intelligent Interconnectivity in the Health Sector
** Please bring your ID card with you **
The „Internet of Things (IoT) already reaches many areas of our daily lives at high speed, opening up new horizons and chances, in particular across the healthcare industry. IoT describes the connection of objects and devices among each other and with the internet. This connectivity has already been enabled in various sectors, e.g. in hospitals or in proactive health monitoring such as Self-Tracking when doing sports and exercising. The exchange of data enables significant optimizations of interactions and processes, especially in regard to the health sector with its medical devices and related software systems. Against this background we would like to discuss not only the chances of success but also the status quo as well as the barriers that IoT in healthcare is facing by means of existing and also visionary use cases.
