Founder’s Contest – Digital Innovations | Application deadline September 30 | Online
Creative potential, persuasiveness, stamina and a convincing business idea are the best prerequisites for digital start-ups to compete in the new Round 2/2019 of the “Founder’s Competition – Digital Innovations” of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi). Until September 30, 2019, founders have the opportunity to submit their ideas. In addition to the main and additional prices, the special prize for business models from the healthcare industry will be awarded this round.
In addition to e-health start-ups, founders of other sectors are encouraged to apply with their concept. Participation requires only a sketch of the project describing the project, but the foundation itself has not yet taken place.
The startup competition is conceived as an ideas competition and divided into two phases: In the first phase, all interested parties have the opportunity to apply by 30 September 2019 at 18 o’clock with an up to fifteen-page idea sketch of their project under www.gruenderwettbewerb.de. Experts evaluate the submitted ideas in terms of their strengths and weaknesses, identify opportunities and risks, and thus provide an initial assessment of whether the ideas are enforceable in the market. All submissions receive detailed written feedback on the founding idea.
In the second phase of the competition, which runs from 2 December 2019 to 2 January 2020, the teams whose ideas are among the top 50 will have the opportunity to incorporate the feedback received into their concept and to submit it again.
