Hamburg Games Conference, April 5, Hamburg

The Hamburg Games Conference is an interdisciplinarycomputer games industry congress. It focuses on the different facets of the games industry and points out the potential for cooperation with other media and entertainment industries. The event is organized by the media law firm GRAEF Rechtsanwälte in cooperation with gamecity: Hamburg.

The 9th Hamburg Games Conference at Bucerius Law School starts on Thursday, April 5, 2018, with the theme “Play it: The future of games & films.” Games and films have been gathering together ever since years, thanks to digital photorealistic graphics. The market opportunities are becoming increasingly converging.

Driven by the rapid pace of digitization, creatives are finding ever more powerful tools and new technologies for media production. In Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), the separation of games and film eventually dissolves for players and viewers. In the middle of events, they themselves become the creators of history. At the Hamburg Games Conference, we discuss the media future with transmedia experts, present business cases and current projects and show how the connection between Games & Film can be successfully implemented economically.
