(IT, telecommunications, medical technology and much more)

Hardly a day goes by without reporting new IT security holes or infrastructure threats in the media. Who’s next, can we even protect ourselves or just ignore the risk of being able to sleep peacefully?

IP infrastructures in hospitals are now highly complex entities that continue to grow. IP networks are no longer just PC workstations and servers. More and more components for medical applications, analysis systems, voice communication, patient entertainment, building technology, medical technology systems and much more now require IP communication.

Even continuous operation for the required applications in IP infrastructures is a challenge in itself. In addition, there are threats in various forms.

The lecture should neither scare nor shock. It is intended to convey experiences from the infrastructure business.
