19.00 – 19.15 – Welcoming and introduction
19.15 – 19.45 – Presentation “Blockchain and IoT in logistics and transportation – state of the art” by Frank Bolten (Chainstep). Frank Bolten, CEO at Chainstep, will share his thoughts on the technological gap between blockchain, give us a comprehensive overview of the blockchain projects and initiatives in transportation sector and data points in the physical world, will discuss the state of the art of the technology, main motivations of the players to step in.
19.45 – 20.00 – Break and networking
20.00 – 21.00 – Panel discussion “Business cases for IoT and blockchain in logistics and transportation” – Frank Bolten (Chainstep), Benjamin Federman (doks innovations), Onur Ergin (Fleetboard). Panel discussion aims to reveal promising use cases in logistics and transportation for blockchain and IoT, draw limitation of the technologies and what kind of opportunities will become available with technological improvements. Multidisciplinary background of panelists ensures great insights on technology (Onur Ergin, Data Scientist at Fleetboard), business models (Frank Bolten, CEO at Chainstep) and implementation of high tech solutions in the real environment (Benjamin Federman, CEO at doks innovations).

Onur Ergin, Data Scientist at Daimler Fleetboard Innovation HUB
Onur has been working with wireless sensor and IoT systems for 12 years already. As a Data Scientist and IoT Specialist at Daimler Fleetboard’s Innovation Hub he is focusing on wireless connectivity, data analysis and future business models for logistics. He received his M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Computer Engineering from Yeditepe University, Istanbul and he is a Ph.D. candidate at the TU-Berlin.
Benjamin Federmann is co-founder and CEO of doks. innovation GmbH

Benjamin has a 13 year track record in sales, marketing and product/program management in different international companies, mainly in B2B. doks. innovation GmbH was founded in March 2017 and is the successor of one governmental research projects as well as the result of the knowledge and spirit of the team of founders. The team of five comes from IT, sensor technology, drones, logistics and marketing and is based in Dortmund, Kassel and Berlin.
