On September 18, 2018, the Future of Food Conference organized by NGIN Food in cooperation with ignore gravity will take place in Berlin. The conference is aimed at startups, medium-sized companies, corporations, investors and innovators from the food industry and offers them a networking platform. In addition to varied content on stage, the participants can expect a startup track with the most innovative food- and food technology-trends.
In various lectures, selected speakers will address the future topics of the food industry. There are insights into digital business models, which are increasingly establishing themselves in the industry. Likewise, new production methods such as Urban Agriculture, Automated Vertical Farms and Artificial Animal Products are discussed.
On the stage, food experts will share their industry-specific knowledge. With the trend to high-quality ingredients, sustainable products, and a healthy, balanced diet, startup products that often fulfill these characteristics are becoming increasingly interesting. As one of the first announced speakers, Frank Thelen, Founder & CEO of Freigeist Capital, will take a closer look at the relevance of startups for the future of food. As a further highlight, visitors to the conference can look forward to a Food & Tech startup track in which startups explain and present their products.
This year the Future of Food is a guest at the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin. Fitting to the conference, the Kunstgewerbemuseum is currently exhibiting the “Food Revolution 5.0 – Gestaltung für die Gesellschaft von morgen “. More than 30 international designers were invited to present their designs, ideas and visions for shaping the transformation of the food system. All conference participants have the opportunity to visit the exhibition during the day.
