Startup Events Frankfurt

Frankfurt is somewhere in midfield in the German startup location ranking. While in the first half of 2016 a total of 112 Berlin startups were able to report financing, in the same period there were only twelve in the federal state Hessen. International investors make a turn around Frankfurt. This is all the more regrettable because Frankfurt, in contrast to Berlin actually has a clear economic profile. But the assertiveness of such ideas requires budgets and above all political will and foresight. Despite all criticism: In Frankfurt there is a startup scene and numerous incubators and institutions, which we want do shout out at and support by listing their events here.

The Rhine-Main area has a strong industry an excellent infrastructure and very good colleges. And although Frankfurt is a financial metropolis, the region lags far behind in the financing of young digital companies. The EY start-up barometer shows venture capital investments amounting to 520 million euros for Berlin in the first half of 2016, compared with only 32 million euros for all of Hesse.
